Name: Katie JoARI#: 840342 Birthdate: August 6, 2002 Parents: Araucano and Macho Grande Namesake: My maternal Grandmother was Katherine Josephine. We were very close, as we shared the same birthday, so it seemed fitting to me that our first born alpaca be named in honor of my Grandmother. When we purchased Araucano, we were told she was due about the same time as Embrace - which was mid-October. You can imagine my surprise when I discoverd a new cria nearly 2 months before we had anticipated. It was a good thing alpacas had been having crias for many years, because Araucano was way more prepared for motherhood than I was prepared to have our first born cria! Katie was also our first sale. We sold her and her cria, Beckie Jo in July of 2005. |
